Terms & Conditions
TUTORING & SUMMER PROGRAM AGREEMENT
This Tutoring & Summer Program Agreement ("Agreement") is entered into by and between Regina Readiness Academy (hereinafter referred to as the "Tutor") and the Student or Parent (hereinafter collectively referred to as the "Parties" and individually as a "Party"). This Agreement formalizes the terms governing the provision of tutoring services and summer learning group programs, which shall commence upon receipt of payment, and shall be subject to the following terms and conditions:
FEES PAYABLE TO THE TUTOR
One-on-One Tutoring Services:

The fees applicable to one-on-one tutoring services shall be detailed in the invoice issued to the Parent.

The Tutor shall not impose additional fees for travel or lesson preparation.

The Tutor reserves the right to modify fees, provided that the Parent is given no less than ten (10) days’ prior written notice of any such changes.
Summer Learning Group Programs:

Full payment is required within seven (7) days of booking in order to confirm the Student’s enrollment.

Failure to remit payment within the stipulated period may result in the forfeiture of the Student’s reserved spot.
PAYMENT
-
All payments shall be due within seven (7) calendar days from the issuance of an invoice.

Payments shall be made exclusively via electronic transfer (e-transfer) to the designated account.

Failure to remit payment by the due date may result in termination of tutoring services or program participation.
CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY
For One-on-One Tutoring Services:

A cancellation made with a minimum of twelve (12) hours' notice shall not incur any charges.

A cancellation made with less than twelve (12) hours' notice, or the failure of the Student to attend a scheduled session, shall be considered a forfeited session, and no refund shall be issued.

Cancellations due to emergency or illness may be reviewed on a case-by-case basis at the sole discretion of the Tutor.

If the Tutor must cancel a session, reasonable efforts shall be made to reschedule the session at a mutually agreed-upon time.
For Summer Learning Group Programs:

Cancellations made at least fourteen (14) days prior to the scheduled commencement of the program shall be eligible for a full refund.

Cancellations made less than fourteen (14) days prior to the scheduled commencement of the program shall be eligible for a refund of fifty percent (50%) of the total fees paid.

Cancellations made after the commencement of the program shall be ineligible for any refund.

Missed sessions shall not qualify for refunds, credits, or make-up sessions.

If the Tutor cancels a scheduled session for any reason, a full credit shall be issued to all affected participants.
ATTENDANCE & CONDUCT

In the event of a no-show, the Tutor and Student shall be obligated to wait for a maximum of fifteen (15) minutes before the session is considered forfeited.

Late Arrival of the Tutor: If the Tutor arrives more than fifteen (15) minutes late, the Student shall be entitled to either a credit or an equivalent time extension.

Late Arrival of the Student: If the Student arrives more than fifteen (15) minutes late, the full session fee shall still be applicable.

Early Departure of the Student: If the Student leaves a session early, the full session rate shall still apply, and the Tutor shall not be obligated to compensate for lost time.

Late Pickup: Parents or guardians must collect their children promptly at the end of the session. Instances of late pickups shall be recorded, and once an aggregate of one (1) hour of late pickups has been accumulated, additional charges shall be applied.

Disruptive Conduct: The Tutor reserves the right to dismiss any Student from summer learning group programs if their behavior is deemed disruptive or inappropriate. In such cases, no refund shall be provided.
OBLIGATIONS OF THE TUTOR

The Tutor shall prepare lessons in advance and structure sessions to maximize educational benefit.

The Tutor shall maintain the confidentiality of all Student information.

The Tutor shall not complete homework assignments on behalf of the Student but shall provide guidance to support comprehension.
OBLIGATIONS OF THE STUDENT

The Student shall make reasonable efforts to identify academic areas requiring improvement.

The Student shall attend scheduled sessions and actively participate in the learning process.

The Student acknowledges that homework, exercises, and assignments form an integral component of the tutoring process and shall undertake to complete such tasks in a timely manner.
WARRANTIES

The Tutor makes no express or implied warranties regarding the Student’s academic performance or improvement as a result of tutoring services.
INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR STATUS

The Tutor operates as an independent contractor and is not an employee, agent, or representative of Regina Readiness Academy.

The Tutor is not affiliated with any school division or educational institution.
-
The Tutor shall bear full responsibility for their own tax obligations, insurance, and legal compliance.
GENERAL PROVISIONS
Entire Agreement:
This Agreement constitutes the full and complete understanding between the Parties regarding the subject matter hereof and supersedes any and all prior agreements, whether written or oral.
Modification & Waiver:
No modification, amendment, or waiver of any provision of this Agreement shall be valid unless made in writing and signed by both Parties.
Severability:
If any provision of this Agreement is found to be invalid or unenforceable under applicable law, the remainder of the Agreement shall continue in full force and effect.
Termination:
Either Party may terminate this Agreement by providing the other Party with no less than seven (7) days’ prior written notice.
Minors:
If the Student is a minor, this Agreement shall be executed by the Parent or legal guardian, who shall accept full responsibility for compliance with its terms.
Dispute Resolution:
In the event of a dispute arising under this Agreement, the Parties agree to engage in good-faith negotiations to resolve the matter before pursuing litigation.
By submitting payment, the Parties acknowledge their acceptance of these terms and conditions.
